Sanctification is God’s ongoing work to transform believers into Christ’s image, extending beyond mere forgiveness of sins. It includes positional sanctification at salvation, experiential sanctification as a daily process, and complete sanctification at resurrection. We grow in Christlikeness by beholding Him through prayer, Scripture, church involvement, and even suffering. As we focus on Christ, God transforms us ‘from glory to glory,’ gradually restoring the image of God that was marred by sin. This transformation is a key assurance of genuine salvation and requires intentional pursuit of holiness.
