During Advent, we celebrate the hope that came through Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago. Biblical hope is confident assurance based on God’s promises, not wishful thinking. Through Christ’s perfect timing and sacrifice, we receive three incredible gifts: the hope of the Son who came at exactly the right moment in history, the hope of salvation that redeems us from our sin debt, and the hope of adoption as God’s children with full inheritance rights. While the world searches for temporary hope in relationships, success, or distractions, we possess eternal hope through Jesus. This hope cannot be taken away and must be shared with others who desperately need it.
