Missions at FBC

We believe that the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) is not the “Great Option,” but a command to all of his people to be engaged in the beautiful mission of our Lord Jesus: to make disciples of all nations.  Don't you want to join us?  Below you can find information about upcoming trips and ways you can help.

Are you sensing a call?  Below you can see current mission trip opportunities. Find a place where you can serve.

For designated missions giving, please go to the "Giving" section of our website at the top of the page. Once you make it to the giving page, you should see a list of options from which to choose. Please select "Missions" or "Mission Trips." Thank you!

One of the most important things you can do is pray—for our unconnected neighbors, our missionaries, and our ministry partners.

Costa Rica

August 1-7, 2020  (Tentative)
Cost: $1,800
Team Leader: Dustin Castells

We are excited to see how the Lord will work in your life while you are serving in Costa Rica. This is an exciting time to be the hands and feet of Christ and be able to serve some of the most amazing children and families in the world!  On this mission trip, you will have the opportunity to support local families living in high poverty communities, feed children that are at high risk of malnourishment and human trafficking, and participate in community outreach.  In the past, our team has helped conduct VBS style events and participate in home construction.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a project of the international relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease, and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.

In 2019, FBC packed over 800 shoeboxes! To learn more about packing a shoebox and shoebox gift ideas, please visit our OCC page.

In addition to packing shoeboxes, we also send a team to each year to the OCC Atlanta Distribution Center to help inspect shoeboxes and ready for shipment.  This year the trip will be Friday, December 4 - Saturday, December 5th.  The deadline to signup is Sunday, November 8th.  For more information or to signup, please click here.
